Attenuator Repair Technician

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs installation and repair of temporary and permanent crash cushions.
Responsible for the loading and unloading of trucks, delivery and pickup of equipment and supplies.
Responsible for the completion of all attenuator service requests as assigned.
Must be able to perform all safety sensitive activities as required by the company.
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays if scheduled or called. Must carry company cell phone as required for on-call maintenance.
Able to set up and operate hammer drill, grinder, impact wrenches, and/or other tools necessary to complete tasks.
Complete all required paperwork to include accident reports, payroll time sheets, and mileage reimbursement and submit to supervisor as determined.
Maintain a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
Assure safety standards and environmental requirements are used to comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines.
Ensure compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.
Follow established company policies.
Have the ability to work in confined/limited work zones exposed to motoring traffic up to and including high rates of speed.
Have the ability to work in designated work zones which may consist of exposure to harsh weather elements such as, but not limited to, extreme heat and cold for extended periods of time.
Hazard work zone includes nighttime work utilizing company’s external lighting.
This position requires considerable driving and frequent safe exiting and entering the highway traffic pattern.
Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined.
Any other duties assigned as needed.

Must possess good interpersonal skills
Good communications skills, both written and oral
Ability to apply concepts of basic math
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and procedures
The ability to apply knowledge and skills to achieve intended results
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver's License required
Due to insurance purposes, must be 21 years or older to be a company sanctioned driver
Must be able to successfully pass the pre-employment office including background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
Knowledge of, and experience working with, hand tools preferred
Previous maintenance and/or construction experience desirable
Assembly experience a plus
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations required
